Day 01: Arrive Kathmandu
You will be greeted by one of our staff, and driven to your hotel. Here we will go over the program, answer any questions you may have, ensure you have all the necessary equipment with you, and conclude the day with dinner together.
Day 02: Kathmandu - Mountain Flight and Cultural Tour
Early breakfast, before we drive to the airport for the morning Mountain flight. You fly over the bustling city, to look down on countless sleepy village settlements perched on the top of the green foot hills. These are soon behind us as we reach the awe inspiring giants of the Himalaya. Here to spy Mount Everest, and numerous other peaks, jutting out of the morning mists. Perhaps gaining a quick peep into once forbidden Tibet, before the pilot turns the plane around and we head back to Kathmandu.
During the afternoon we will visit Bouddhanath Stupa, the largest Bhuddhist stupa (outdoor temple) in Nepal and the holiest one outside Tibet for the Tibetan people. This is the Tibetan center of the city, with an array of holy shrines, effigies, all enhanced by the clang of bells and praying monks in their maroon robes. You join pilgrims who may have traveled hundreds, even thousands, of miles on foot to pray here. We also visit Swayambhunath, or the Monkey Temple. This 2000 year-old monument is the oldest of its kind in Nepal and is an UNESCO World Heritage Monument. From this hilltop you gain amazing views over the city, with the mountains you flew over earlier, as a background. The evening is free to explore the streets, shops and restaurants.
Day 03: Kathmandu - Bungee Jumping
A very early morning breakfast, followed by a three hour drive, through a green luxurious landscape, on crazy roads with equally crazy traffic, to reach our Bungee-destination. Here you will be rigged up with harness and helmet, receive professional instruction and soothing words of confidence, before you throw yourself off a 166 meter high suspension bridge, towards the jagged rocks and raging rapids below.
Those who only wish to watch will find the jungle ambivalence pleasing. Having survived Bungee Jumping, we drive back to Kathmandu. Evening free.
Day 04: Kathmandu - Rafting - Pokhara
Again, and early breakfast, before we drive to the Trishuli River. Here we join our River Guide and his crew, receive instruction on the usage of the all important paddle, on 'man over board' and on the rules of the river. We head off down this grade 2 to 3 class rivers, where exciting in places, allows one to observe the diversity of the landscape - both nature and man as he/she goes about their daily life.
Depending on the speed of water and the performance of the team, we reach our last port. Transfer to our bus and continue ca 2 hours, to the beautiful lake side city of Pokhara.
Day 05: Pokhara - Paragliding and sightseeing
Pokhara is the 2nd largest city in Nepal, snuggled between Lake (Daha) and a backcloth of amazing snow covered peaks that are reflected in her waters. We drive in a jeep up into the hills overlooking the city. Then you do your helmet, clip into your para-harness, and with your jockey you run down the hillside to gently take off and soar into the sky.
Now you have the Annapurna's and Macchhapuchare (Fish Tail Mountain), the latter being one of the most beautiful mountains in the world, seemingly within touching distance. Yes, you are now at a height where eagles soar, and below you the farms of the foot hills and the deep blue Lake Daha.
After you glide in and gently land by the lake side (hopefully not in it), we have a lunch, and then you are free to explore the town and its environments.
Day 06: Rest day or visit World Peace Stupa
We recommend a visit to the World Peace Stupa - an impressive building in its own right. Just or more impressive are the views!!
Day 07: Pokhara - Kathmandu - Bhaktapur
We fly from Pokhera to Kathmandu, and drive directly to Bhaktapur, The City of Devotees. We visit Durbar Square, known locally as Khwopa or Bhadgaon, world renowned for its elegant art, colorful festivals, traditional dances and indigenous lifestyle of different people of different religions. Majestic monuments, temples and traditional Newar lifestyle, known for their craftsmanship, all adds to the flavor of this amazing city.
