Everest base camp treks is greatest attraction of this region is Mt. Everest (8848m) which is the world’s highest mountain peak and one of the toughest and challenging destinations for trekking someone can ever experience. It is also known as the home of Sherpa people and the mysterious Yeti.

The Everest base camp trek is one of the most thrilling adventure treks for excitement-seekers. The journey begins from Lukla (Buddhist Sherpa community) to Khumbu (homeland of Sherpa). We get introduced to two routes from Namche where one leads to viewpoint of Kala Pathar (5550m) and Everest Base Camp (5350m) and another leads to Gokyo Lakes. Various animals and birds, Rhododendrons and various dens caves are introduced to the passing trekkers.

Outline itinerary:

Day 01: Kathmandu Arrive 1,350m/4,428ft

Day 02: Kathmandu to Lukla (2,800m/9184ft) and trek to Phakding (2,652m/8,698ft)

Flight time: 35 min, hiking time: 3-4 hours

Day 03:  Phakding to Namche, (3,870m/12,684ft), 5-6 hours

Day 04:  At Namche, Acclimatization (3,870m/12,684ft)

Day 05:  Namche to Tengboche, (3,870m/12,684ft), 5-6 hours

Day 06:  Tengboche to Dingboche, (4,400m/14,435ft), 5-6 hours

Day 07:  At Dingboche Acclimatization day, (4,900m/16,076ft)

Day 08:  Dingboche to Lobuche, (4,900m/16,076ft) 6-7 hours

Day 09:  Lobuche to Gorekhep (5180m/16,994ft) and to EBC (5364m/17598), 6-7 hours

Day 10:  Gorekhep  to Kalapatter (5,545m/18,192ft ) and  pheriche (4,320m/14,173ft)  5-6 hours

Day 11:  Pheriche to Namche (3,440m/11,284ft), 7-8 hours

Day 12: Namche to Lukla; (2,800m/9,184ft), 6-7 hours

Day 13: Lukla to Kathmandu, (1350m/4428ft), 35min

Day 14: At Kathmandu

Option: 1; City sightseeing, 2; Ayurveda Health massage/ Astrology visit (hand reader)

Please Note: that often the Kathmandu-Lukla-Kathmandu flight gets delayed by a few hours or may even be canceled for one, two, or more days due to unfavorable weather conditions. Such conditions may arise even in the best seasons. Hence, in such cases, you must be prepared for long waits either at Kathmandu or Lukla airports, as this can happen either at the start or end of the trek or even both! We will do our best to avoid such delays, and arrange the next flight for you.

Cost Includes

3 star base hotel accommodation for 3 nights in Kathmandu on BB. TIM's trekking permit and necessary National Park entry fees. Airport arrival and departure transfer to/from hotel. Necessary domestic transport as per the program.  Tourist class hotel, sharing, with breakfast.  Pre-trek meeting with guide, and welcome Nepali dinner. Kathmandu to Lukla, and return, by flight, accompanied by Guide. Breakfast, lunch and dinner during the trek. Lodge/guesthouse accommodation during trek. Sharing, during high season can be dormitory. English speaking experienced and qualified trekking guide. One porter between two pax, 8 kilo baggage per pax. Guide & porters receive 'fair wage', proper equipment and full insurance coverage. Group and staff first aid kit. Farewell dinner, with porters in Lukla, and with Guide in Kathmandu. All government taxes.
